Oh, I love starting a new art project. Fresh paint and a new canvas. It feels like starting over each time I start painting a new picture. It can be an abstract, a landscape, or doodling on a new canvas. Most of my paintings are layers on top of many layers. Never knowing how the…

  • Learning to paint

I have been working on this painting for over a year. I start off with a mosaic type painting. I put shapes, paint brush strokes using different colors and whatever I am feeling at that moment. Then I put the painting away. I come back later and keep adding more paint. Originally this picture had…

Fresh Paint & New Canvas

Oh I love starting a new art project. Fresh paint and a new canvas. It feels like starting over each time I start painting a new picture. It can be an abstract, a landscape or just doodling on the new canvas. Most of my paintings are layers on top of many layers. Never knowing how the painting will turn out. Many times I use leftover paint to cover the painted canvas and start a new adventure. I guess this is my signature style. I am self taught so I discover something new each time about myself and keep adding to my skills. I believe there is no wrong way to paint. I took some zoom classes online with a guy named Nicholas Wilton of Art2life. These classes put me on a different journey!
